PROBIO-FIX® contains 4 billion lactic acid bacteria (lyophilized cultures of Lactobacillus acidophilus, La-5® and Bifidobacterium, BB-12®).
Use of Probio-fix capsules
The lyophilized bacteria in PROBIO-FIX® are embedded in a unique polysaccharide matrix, which ensures exceptional stability of the product even at normal temperature and at the same time protection against the action of stomach acid.
One capsule contains freeze-dried cultures of lactic acid bacteria
- Lactobacillus acidophilus La-5®
- Bifidobacterium, BB-12®
- At least 4 billion CFU (colony forming units) of lactic acid bacteria. Strain ratio approx. 50 % : 50 %.
Innovative technology for optimum efficiency
- Contact of PROBIO-FIX® capsule with stomach acid causes the gelatine capsule shell to dissolve within 5-15 minutes. Subsequent rehydration of the polysaccharide matrix changes the surface of the matrix into a gel that is resistant to the acidic environment of the stomach, thereby protecting the lyophilized bacteria stored therein.
- In the environment of the duodenum (pH 6.5), the gel dissolves, rehydrates the lyophilized bacteria and then releases them into the intestine.
Ingredients
Dextrose (filler), hypromellose (capsule packaging), skimmed milk powder (cryoprotectant), probiotic cultures, yeast extract (cryoprotectant), sodium ascorbate (E 301, cryoprotectant), monosodium glutamate (E 621, inositol (cryoprotectant), sodium alginate (E 401, calcium carbonate (E 170, capsule dye), magnesium stearate (lubricant).
Recommended dosage
Adults and children from 3 years of age:
1-3 capsules per day. For long-term use, it is recommended to take one capsule per day, preferably before meals. The capsules are taken whole with a little water. They can also be opened and the contents stirred into yoghurt or cold viscous food (not water).
Infants from the end of the 4th month:
Content of one capsule per day. The product can also be used for infants from the end of the 4th month who are not breastfed and do not receive fortified infant formula. The capsule can be opened and the contents can be poured into lukewarm milk or into a snack (porridge, breakfast, yoghurt), not into water.

Do not take this product if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. If you have any doubts, contact your doctor. Do not use as a substitute for a varied diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage.
