I needed a cottage router with wall mount and AX WiFi, this was the choice based on performance/price ratio. I was surprised at how large the router's settings menu is, yet the basics are relatively easy to find and set up. The WiFi performance is as expected and I covered the next location with a second unit. The units work as a single mesh network, but you have to set up a new unit via the agent settings and then all the settings are already transferred and set up automatically. The advantage is the ability to select the bandwidth for the WiFi connection between the units, should the cable connection fail. I pulled the cable out and after a while the WiFi was working again after reconnecting the connection. There was no noticeable dropout when the cable was returned. The whole network is working reliably so far.

In my opinion, the product is intended primarily for Russian-speaking markets, because detailed documentation (in EN and RU) can only be downloaded from the Russian d-link server. Videos relevant to this product on Youtube also mostly in Russian. Setup of the router and main WiFi controller via cable and PC interface without any problems even though the google store app didn't work. Interface for me quite unclear and maybe older DIR-80X had it better. Decent coverage, but insufficient for a large house where I have a preference for one network. Therefore, I set up a second access point within the mesh network. As a backhaul, there are two options to choose from (2,4 and 5 or network cable). However, despite the network cable connection, one of the networks is always allocated for the backhaul even in the latest firmware version. Given this, I don't rate a pair of these devices as a full mesh system. As a standalone router fine, but you can find better ones for the price.

Hello, D-Link Russia has a separate market and products from D-Link EU. What you are referring to is not an EU product, but a completely different device, although it may appear similar.
The app for the router sold in the EU is under development and cannot be downloaded from GooglePlay. The D-Link Assistant application that you probably refer to as not working and is in the RU documentation is for devices intended for the RU region, not for devices sold here. This sold router is not of Russian production.
These options are not listed in the previous or current firmware version. Can' t choose 2,4 and 5 or network cable. The options are only Cable and 2,4 or Cable and 5. If a cable is used to connect routers in MESH mode, then the cable is always used as the primary backhaul connection and wlan 2, 4 or 5 serves as backup. In both cases, the selected WiFi band is not only reserved for possible backhaul, but continues to be used for connecting clients (just like most of these solutions on the market).
