I chose the kettle because of the nice design, but user-wise it was a big disappointment. I'd even say it's a bit dangerous, because when the keep warm mode is on, the kettle continues to brew even if you take it off the stand, pour it out and put it back on the stand empty. I really didn't expect this from a kettle with this style of control. It is also very hot on the surface due to the material it is made of and the lack of double wall. Plus, when she's cooking, she's pretty noisy. I eventually returned the kettle for the above reasons and bought another one that does not suffer from the above mentioned ailments.
