I've had this photo trap for over a year, aimed at a garden pond. I set the time lapse (time lapse) after three seconds and I had images after three seconds. OK. I then set the photo trap not to time lapse but to video for 2 minutes and the photo trap started recording video every other minute, not when there was any movement. I bought the camera solely for the purpose of observing shy kittens at the feeding site. I'll turn it on, feed it, leave for an hour and then come back for it. In this mode, the new alkaline batteries lasted 14 days before the camera stopped recording. The videos in day mode are great in sufficient light, well-drawn, with diminishing light, of course, noise increases. From a certain threshold it switches to night mode (black and white video with illumination) and there the videos are great. What's not great is the size of the resulting video, an hour of recording in fullhd (1920x1080) takes 24GB. So then I compress in OpenShot and the resulting video comes out to about 2GB. The sound is a tragedy, practically the whole video is without sound, the microphone sensitivity is lousy.
Overall, I would rate this camera as a passable product at a good price.
