I didn't have the first model, so I won't compare. As for synchronizing the lights with what's happening on the TV screen, I think it's great. I love it. As for the box itself, I can write with a clear conscience that it does exactly what the manufacturer promises, and does it very well. I have one complaint, though, and that is that the box heats a little, but it does not heat upwards, but downwards, and because it has no ventilation holes and no feet, so the generated heat does not go into the air, but culminates in the mat on which the box lies, so I made some of those feet.
