Roborock S8 Plus is a great robot until something goes wrong. When a fault occurs, the service automatically rejects it, claiming that the use of cleaning agents has damaged the water container and the hose in the container is damaged. Nowhere in the instructions does the manufacturer state that using a different cleaning agent automatically voids the warranty. It only recommends its own cleaner, but nowhere does it say that any other will cause damage to the product or void the warranty. Yet the service claims that the defect is your fault without any proof of this. He won't provide a lab analysis, he won't show the chemical tests, he'll just say it's your fault and that's it. If the garage claims that the regular cleaner caused the damage, they have to prove it. Otherwise, it is an unjustified rejection of the claim. Under consumer law, the burden of proof is on the manufacturer or service, not the customer. Without proof, the claim is valid and the service is just trying to get rid of it. Maybe it would be easier if the vacuum cleaner came with a list of excuses why the warranty will never be accepted. If you are thinking of buying this robot (if it goes on sale again), be prepared to have a self-inflicted defect, no matter what the manual or common sense says. If you don't want to risk endless haggling with service, pray that your product doesn't break.
