My first experience with chains and very positive. Octavia 3 TDI 135kW with them was unstoppable on about 20cm of snow on an ice base. No problems and a large climb with serpentines to the cottage.
Subsequently, they also helped when leaving the parking lot, where I no longer had chains and where I dug through the snow on the ice and the car could no longer move. It was enough to throw the chains under the wheels and spread them on the ground. They will do about a meter of space, not which the car took up again without a problem.
It is definitely not a top product, but as a car insurance, which you use a maximum of a few times a year, they work reliably.
