The inability to deliver the label power of 27W permanently and the high heating I would rather expect from a cheap ebay bargain, not a branded adapter from Xiaomi. I suspect that Alza itself has not fallen for a scam or a dubious supplier. So for myself I definitely do not recommend, I will be advertising both pieces

Broad support for fast charge protocols
Low efficiency, the 9V 2A test found only 82% efficiency, pretty weak. Most other adapters hover around 88% or better
Physical dimensions, poor gravimetric and volumetric density
Idle supplies 5.42V at 5V mode. That's off limits for USB
It heats enough, already at 18W (9V 2A) for an hour there are especially in places near the USB port so hot areas that it's downright unpleasantly burning. I suspect it has a classic diode rectifier (no schotky diode or synchronous rectifier with MOSFET).
With the phone I got exactly the same (visually), even directly from Xiaomi on support they wrote me that it is the same as I had with the phone, but despite this, it is a different model and so that's why I do not have the charging speed "Xiaomi Mi Turbo Charge" but only "Fast Charge"
