What does it mean when a cylinder lock is Safety Class 4?

The Safety Class 4 means that the lock is expected to withstand an experienced thief armed with specialised lockpicking tools, such as a hammer, axe, chisel, or a portable cordless drill. These tools give lockpickers extensive options how to attack the cylinder lock. With normal locks, their chances are good enough that they don't have to worry about the noise their tools make.
