Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 Sony FE II

Samyang introduces the AF 35mm F1.4 E II, the second generation of its standard full-frame prime lens, optimised for portraits, landscapes and video shooting. Includes key Samyang features such as a focus lock button and customizable switch. The two aspherical elements (ASP) in the new AF 35mm F1.4 E II lens provide stunning contrast and amazing resolution. Samyang's advanced coating technology maintains excellent image clarity even in challenging lighting conditions. Sharpness is maintained from corner to corner even at maximum aperture, meaning optical performance is consistent at all exposure settings. In addition, the AF 35mm F1.4 E II provides an even clearer image thanks to the CCI (Colour Contribution Index) enhancement.

Fast, accurate and silent autofocus

Samyang's linear stepping motor (STM) provides the high efficiency needed for fast, accurate and quiet autofocus and subject tracking, maximizing the benefits of Sony E mount cameras. Compared to the previous AF 35mm F1.4 E lens, the new AF 35mm F1.4 E II lens is optimized not only for photography but also for shooting videos by minimizing vibration and noise. Subject tracking is fast and accurate, and autofocus works quietly and smoothly when shooting video. Samyang's Linear STM satisfies both photographers and videographers with quieter and more precise control of the lens focus groups.

Provides extremely narrow depth of field with enhanced beautiful bokeh

The AF 35mm F1.4 E II's maximum aperture of f/1.4 makes it easy to capture bright images in low light, even when shooting handheld. The 9-blade circular aperture design enhances the ability to create stunning and beautiful background bokeh whenever needed. Smooth bokeh effectively highlights objects in images and gives them a strong spatial impression.

Improved handling and reliability

The focus lock button allows you to lock the lens to a specific focus distance. Functions such as Eye AF can be assigned in the camera body settings. A customizable switch allows silent adjustment of the aperture by rotating the focus ring. Using the optional Lens Station, the mode can be set to personal preference.Additional features will be added through firmware updates. The minimum focusing distance is 0.29m (11.4"), providing greater versatility for creating unique perspectives and making it easier to capture portraits or close-ups, such as food on a table. The lens has a modern design, aluminum focus ring and weather sealing (in 4 areas), which protects the lens from rain, snow and dust.
