Samyang AF 85mm f/1.4 Sony FE II

The Samyang AF 85mm f/1.4 Sony FE II lens is designed for digital mirrorless cameras with Sony FE mount and Full Frame sensor. Weighing just 510g and measuring 99.5mm in length, it is among the lightest lenses in its class with a high f/1.4 aperture and 85mm focal length. Its compact design and powerful optical system make it the ideal choice for portrait, product and close-up photography.

Excellent optical performance

The lens has an optical construction consisting of 11 elements in 8 groups, including 4 HR and 1 ED elements. Combined with a full frame Sony sensor, it provides excellent sharpness and contrast throughout the image. Nine aperture blades create natural, soft and creamy bokeh that helps separate the subject from the background with professional results.

Reliable autofocus

Samyang has equipped the model with a linear STM stepper motor that ensures quiet, smooth and precise focusing even when moving larger optical elements. The lens is optimized not only for photography, but also for shooting videos by minimizing vibration and noise. This makes it suitable for both portrait photography and film use.

Advanced control and customisation

There is a user switch on the lens body that allows the user to choose between manual focus and aperture control via the focus ring. Below the switch is the focus hold button, which can be further customised via the camera menu. Rubber with microswitch on the sharpening ring ensures comfortable handling even with gloves.

All-weather durability

The lens is equipped with a weather seal, allowing it to be used even in harsh conditions. Its light weight, compact size and dust and moisture resistance make it the ideal companion for outdoor portrait photography and reportage work.
