Shanling EC Play Black

The Shanling EC Play portable CD player combines physical media playback with modern features. Thanks to its compact aluminium body, it's suitable for travel as well as for your desk. Inside, a Cirrus Logic CS43198 D/A converter and a pair of headphone amplifiers handle the audio output. In addition to CDs, you can also use it as a Bluetooth receiver or a USB DAC for listening from your computer. The player offers both 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs.

High-quality audio components

At the heart of the player is a Cirrus Logic CS43198 D/A converter, complemented by a pair of SGM8262-2 headphone amplifiers. This setup ensures pristine sound processing and delivers enough power for even the most demanding headphones. You have both a standard 3.5mm unbalanced and a 4.4mm balanced headphone output available. You can adjust the signal intensity to match the sensitivity of your connected headphones, thanks to the two levels of gain adjustment.

Universal connectivity and use

The Shanling EC Play works not only as a CD player but also as an external audio device. You can switch the player to Bluetooth receiver mode and wirelessly stream music to it from your phone or tablet. When connected to a computer via USB, it becomes an external D/A converter (USB DAC) for playing high-resolution files. For integration into a home audio system, a 3.5mm coaxial SPDIF output allows you to send the signal to an external converter.

A design for stable playback

The player is designed for daily use at home and on the go. The aluminium body is complemented by an anti-vibration design, which includes an active magnetic clamp. This clamp helps stabilise the disc's rotation and reduces unwanted mechanical vibrations. The integrated battery offers up to 12 hours of listening time, and the lid lock protects the mechanism during transport. All information is shown on the 1.12-inch display.
