Sinecod drops with the popular vanilla flavour effectively control dry, irritating coughs and are suitable for children from 2 months (up to 2 years on doctor's advice), adolescents and adults.
Sinecod drops
Sinecod drops, against dry, irritating cough of various origins, contain the medicinal substance butamirate citrate, which belongs to a group of drugs called antitussives - cough suppressants. It is used for short-term treatment of acute coughs, e.g. in acute infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract, trachea and bronchi.
What is dry cough and how to treat it?
A dry cough is an irritating, scratchy cough that is often associated with swelling and congestion of the mucous membranes in the airways. This is a non-productive cough, i.e. you do not cough up mucus from your bronchial tubes. It is usually triggered by minor irritation in the throat and bronchial tubes, which can be caused by e.g. the common cold. A dry cough can be relieved with medicines called antitussives. If the cough is unproductive, bothersome or debilitating and interferes with sleep, it is wise to suppress it with an antitussive.

Sinecod drops is a medicine designed to control dry, irritating coughs and its use can help us and our little patients sleep better and more soundly.
How to take Sinecod drops?
Sinecod 5 mg/ml oral drops, solution can be used by children from 2 months (up to 2 years only on the advice of a doctor), adolescents and adults.

Always take the lowest effective dose for the shortest time necessary to improve symptoms. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.
Do not take Sinecod for more than 7 days without a doctor's advice. Consult a physician if symptoms worsen or do not improve within 5 days (up to 3 days for children under 12 years of age) and/or if fever, rash, or persistent headache occurs.
What does Sinecod drops contain?
- The active substance is butamirate citrate: One ml of oral drops, solution contains 5 mg of butamirate citrate.
- The auxiliary substances are:crystallizing sorbitol 70%, glycerol 85%, sodium salt of saccharin, vanillin, benzoic acid, ethanol 96 % (v/v), sodium hydroxide solution 300 g/l, purified water.
Read the package insert carefully. Sinecod 5 mg/ml oral drops, solution contains butamirate citrate. The drug is intended for internal use.
