Skinoren cream is a medication used to treat acne (both inflammatory and non-inflammatory forms). Skinoren cream works against a bacterium (Propionibacterium acnes) that is a major contributor to acne. At the same time, it also suppresses the cornification process of skin cells that clog the skin pores and thus cause the formation of comedones (black and white). It is used in adolescents aged 12-18 years. The tube contains 30 g of cream.
Dosage and method of use
The product is intended for topical treatment of the skin. It is used in adolescents aged 12 years and older. Before using Skinoren Cream, the skin should be thoroughly cleansed with clean water or, if necessary, a mild skin cleanser. The skin must be thoroughly dried before application.
Recommended dosage of the product:
Skinoren cream should be applied to the affected areas twice a day (morning and evening) and gently rubbed in. Skinoren cream must be applied in sufficient quantity, but not in excess (approximately 2.5 cm of cream squeezed out of the tube is sufficient to treat the entire face). In most cases, significant improvement in acne is noticeable after 4 weeks. For maximum effect, Skinoren cream must be used regularly for several months. Wash your hands after each application of the cream. If you feel that the effect of Skinoren Cream is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Contraindications
Not suitable for children under 12 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, check with your doctor or pharmacist first, before taking this medicine. Do not use Skinoren Cream if you are allergic to azelaic acid or to any of the other ingredients in this product.

Storage
Store the product at a temperature below 30 °C. Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the packaging after "Use by:". The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. After the first opening: shelf life 6 months. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
