Sleep-1 light red glasses against blue and green light

Sleep-1 light red glasses against blue and green light
The SLEEP-1 red glasses for blocking blue and green light are designed to be worn for 1–1.5 hours before sleep to suppress the blue and green spectral components that reduce melatonin production in the evening. These light red glasses are suitable for beginners. The glasses let through 5% of green light, which helps users orient themselves better, and have a higher light transmittance (making it easier to see through them).
Key features of the Sleep-1 glasses
- Red-coloured glasses that block 99.9% of the blue and 99% of the green spectral components
- Unlike the basic Sleep-1 version, these glasses have adjustable, comfortable arms
- The glasses block light from all sides
- Lightweight and easily portable
- Robust construction ensures a long lifespan
- Universal size for adults
- Can be worn over prescription glasses
- Clear glasses do not eliminate most of the blue spectrum, nor the green; if the glasses are working, both spectra should appear the same when viewed through them, and you should not see blue and only a minimum of green
- Colour spectrum for home testing blue-light-blocking glasses: The glasses filter out blue light if both colour spectra match (when viewed through the glasses), and they also filter the green spectral component if the green colour appears faded
- A supplement for sleep hygiene, a biodynamic source of orange light – sunset
- Sunset-1 is a biodynamic light source designed to create a pleasantly warm environment, suitable as a supplement for sleep hygiene; it does not produce blue or green light (like RGB smart bulbs)
- It can also be used as a tool for creating impressive photos
- Does not suppress melatonin production before sleep, unlike white light sources or smart bulbs
- Powered by a USB cable (adapter not included)
- Tilting head
- Compact dimensions
Blue-light-blocking glasses can be divided into the following categories
Clear (colourless) glasses – eliminate the violet colour at best, and 0% of blue and 0% of green (see test below)
Yellow glasses – eliminate approx. 50% of blue light (depending on the shade)
Orange glasses – eliminate 99% of blue and part of the green spectrum
Red glasses – eliminate 99.9% of blue and 99% of the green spectrum that negatively affects the circadian rhythm
Clear glasses cannot absorb the blue and green spectral components. Why? If the entire light spectrum passes through an object (in our case, the glasses), the object appears clear (colourless) to our eyes. If blue and green light do not pass through the object, meaning only yellow to red light passes through, the object (the lens of the glasses) appears red. It follows that it is physically impossible for clear (colourless) glasses to filter the blue and green spectral components.
