Powered by Replaceable Battery

Some dashcams allow the user to easily remove and replace the battery without disassembling the device. This is the opposite of an integrated battery, which is a permanent part of the camera, and its replacement is complicated or impossible. The lifespan of batteries decreases over time. The possibility of replacement thus extends the overall lifespan of the camera, as a new battery can simply be purchased when its capacity diminishes. The battery in the camera is not used for regular recording while driving, when the device is powered by the vehicle. Its primary task is to provide short-term power for safely saving the last recording after disconnection from the power source, or for operating the parking mode, which monitors the vehicle when stationary.
