Handheld Band Saw

A handheld band saw is a portable electric tool in which an endless saw band runs between two wheels and the saw is brought to the material being cut. The operator holds it in their hands, so it can be used directly on a construction site, in a workshop or during installation. It is typically used for precise and fast cutting of metal pipes, profiles, bars or threaded rods. Compared to an angle grinder, it cuts with less sparking and produces a cleaner cut without significant heating of the material. An important advantage is its compact size and lower weight, which allow the saw to be used even in confined spaces. It is powered either by mains electricity or by a battery.
