The ACADEMY Grade 2 is a versatile 14-inch children's bike, ideal for children aged 2 to 4 years and from 95 cm tall. Weighing just 5.4 kg, it's almost 40% lighter than conventional children's bikes. The sturdy aluminium frame together with the maintenance-free belt drive make the bike a reliable partner for a long time. Child-friendly brakes provide confidence for every adventure. The Grade 2 kids bike has a lightweight and strong Diamant Knick frame made of Triple Butted Aluminium with a frame height of 21 cm. The bike features 14" aluminium rims (14" × 1.5" × 16H) in black and aluminium hubs (14G/16H) front and rear. It is shod in high-quality VEE TIRE Speedster 14" × 1.50 (40-254) tyres with reflective stripe and 72 TPI fibre density, which ensures a smooth and safe ride.

Drive and gears, brakes and controls
The Academy Grade 2 kids bike has a 1-Gang Freilauf and uses a C-Drive belt drive. The Kurbelgarnitur consists of C-Drive 48T, 89 mm cranks and a 30T, 14 mm rear sprocket, all in aluminium. Thanks to the chainless design, the ride is quiet, clean and low-maintenance. Front and rear V-brakes in aluminium together with lightweight composite brake levers in black ensure safe braking adapted to children's hands. The 470 mm wide BMX handlebars provide excellent control and stability.
Frame geometry
The bike has 14" wheels and a frame designed with children's ergonomics and stability in mind. The seat tube length is 205 mm, and the saddle can be adjusted from a minimum height of 410 mm to a maximum height of 500 mm, allowing children from about 95 cm tall to ride comfortably. The angle of the seat tube and head tube is 68°, which contributes to a balanced riding position. The length of the head tube is 90 mm, the horizontal length of the top tube is 350 mm. The length of the chain stays is 267 mm and the overall wheelbase (distance between the wheels) is 631 mm, which ensures stability and easy handling. The length of the handles is adapted to the child's foot and measures 89 mm - ideal for a healthy and natural pedalling motion.
