The Author Aura XR5 is built on a premium duralumin frame with triple reinforcement and internal tubing and bovden routing. There are fixed axles front and rear and mounting holes for rack or mudguards. Vibration damping is provided by a carbon front fork and a very comfortable Author Guru saddle. Shifting here is handled by a basic Shimano GRX 2×11 gravel kit, including hydraulic brakes. For rougher handling and heavier loads, the strong and durable 32-wire braided wheels are ready for the job. Low rolling resistance on the road and good traction on lighter terrain are ensured by the proven Panaracer Gravel King SK Sport 700×38 folding tyres. Most of the other components are from Author's in-house workshop. The Aura XR5 is versatile and can serve as a one-size-fits-all sport bike. Its face and handling characteristics can be significantly influenced by the choice of footwear used, handlebar height and stem angle.
