AUTHOR Cosmic 20 2025 10" Black/Orange

The Author Cosmic 20 kids' bike is designed for children aged 4 to 6 with a height between 115 and 135cm. Thanks to its lightweight aluminium frame, the bike has a low weight of just 8.6kg, making it easy for children to handle and ride. It is equipped with a 6-speed Shimano derailleur, which helps little cyclists tackle their first hills. The bike is suitable for family trips on cycle paths and paved forest trails.

Lightweight Aluminium Frame

The core of the bike is its frame made from an aluminium alloy. This material contributes to the overall low weight of 8.6kg. This makes the bike easy for children to control and handle. The frame's geometry is designed with a child's body in mind to ensure a natural riding position. The rigid hi-ten steel fork is durable and does not require complex maintenance, which you'll appreciate for recreational riding.

Shimano Components for a Smooth Ride

The bike is equipped with Shimano components. The Shimano Tourney RD-TY200 derailleur offers access to 6 speeds. This allows children to adapt their ride to the terrain and learn to pedal efficiently. Gears are changed using the intuitive Shimano Revoshift grip shifter on the handlebars. The cassette with a 14–28 tooth range provides a sufficient selection of gears for riding on flat ground and up gentle hills.

Safety and Reliability First

Proven Tektro V-Brake rim brakes ensure safe stopping. They are easy to operate and provide sufficient braking power for children's riding. The bike is built on 20-inch wheels with aluminium rims and Kenda tyres, which provide good grip on cycle paths and paved trails. The equipment is completed by aluminium handlebars, an aluminium stem, and plastic pedals.
