Durable materials and aluminium construction

Water resistance
Indicates the resistance of the fabric and seams to water penetration. It specifies the amount of water the material can hold before it starts to leak. The higher the value in mm, the more resistant the tent is. Every tent should have a flysheet with a water resistance of at least 2000mm, which is approximately the pressure exerted by a raindrop travelling at 80–90 km/h. To survive a storm unscathed, a water resistance of at least 3000mm is a safer bet. For the groundsheet, a water resistance of 5000mm is recommended for general hiking.
