Big Adventure Tambora 2P is a lightweight, two-skin tent for 2 people, designed for camping, hiking, and multi-day expeditions. Its self-supporting dome structure makes for a quick and intuitive setup on various types of campsite. Two separate entrances give each user their own access to the interior. Each entrance has its own vestibule, which you can use to store a rucksack, dirty shoes, or wet gear outside the sleeping area.

Protection from rain and wind
The flysheet of the Big Adventure Tambora 2P tent is made from ripstop polyester with a waterproof PU coating that prevents rain from getting in. The groundsheet is made of durable polyester taffeta with its own PU treatment, protecting the interior from ground moisture. The supporting structure of the tent consists of poles made from 7000-series aluminium alloy, which help maintain the structure's stability in windy conditions.
Ventilation and interior layout of the Tambora 2P tent
The inner tent combines breathable polyester with fine No-See-Um mesh, which allows air to pass through while preventing small insects from entering. A ventilation system wicks away moist air and reduces condensation during the night. You can store smaller items, such as a torch, map, or personal belongings, in the internal pockets.

Hydrostatic head
Indicates the resistance of the fabric and seams to water penetration. It states the amount of water the material can hold before it starts to leak. The higher the value in mm, the more resistant the tent is. Every tent should have a flysheet with a hydrostatic head of at least 2000mm, which is approximately the pressure exerted by a raindrop travelling at 80–90 km/h. To survive a storm unscathed, a hydrostatic head of at least 3000mm is a safer bet. For the groundsheet, a hydrostatic head of 5000mm is recommended for general hiking. For more demanding conditions, choose a groundsheet with a hydrostatic head of 8000–10000mm.Specifications
