Effetto Mariposa Caffélatex sealant serves as a preventative measure against punctures for both mountain and road bike tyres. It is suitable for both tubeless and standard tyres. Thanks to its unique foaming formula, it activates with the movement of the wheel and evenly fills the entire inner space of the tyre. This sealant can handle punctures up to 6mm for MTB tyres and 3mm for road bike tyres, and remains effective in the tyre for up to 12 months. The package contains 1000ml.

Foaming formula and its benefits

Caffélatex sealant stands out with its foaming formula, which contains an Antifoam agent. This is activated by the natural movement of the wheel while riding. The resulting foam then fills the entire inner cavity of the tyre, not just the bottom. This makes the sealant effective even against punctures on the tyre sidewalls, which are often a problem for other products. This even distribution also helps to reduce wheel imbalance.

High efficiency and reliability

The sealant is designed to handle even larger punctures. For mountain bikes, it can seal punctures up to 6mm in size, and for road bike tyres, up to 3mm. Its formula remains effective across a wide temperature range, from -20°C to +50°C. When applied correctly and depending on conditions, the sealant lasts in the tyre for up to 12 months. The formula is also environmentally friendly and is not aggressive towards aluminium or other types of rims.

Correct dosage and maintenance

For optimal performance, it is important to follow the recommended dosage. For road or MTB tubeless tyres up to size 26x2.1/29x2.00, 50ml of sealant is sufficient. For mountain bikes with tyres larger than this, it is recommended to apply 100ml. For racing use, it is advisable to check the condition and amount of the sealant every two months. To maintain its properties, store the sealant at temperatures between -15°C and +30°C.
