The headlamp has two light sources - the Luminus SFT-70 LED driving reflector and the Luminus SST-20 LED wide reflector with neutral white light with a CRI 90 (500 lumens) colour rendering quality index and a wide, smooth light path. Inside the Fenix HM71R headlamp is a 5,000 mAh rechargeable battery that charges directly in the headlamp via USB-C. The control button has a built-in indicator LED. Headlamp has multiple power modes
With two implemented LED spotlights, you'll have a wide range of modes for your specific needs. The Fenix HM71R headlamp's remote and wide reflector can be easily switched by holding the button for 1.2 seconds. When the headlamp is on, a short press cycles through the power modes - 50, 200, 800 and 2700 lumens (main beam). The wide spotlight offers 5, 50, 200 and 500 lumens. The Fenix HM71R headlamp has a memory for the remote spotlight and will always turn on in the last set mode (except for turning off in the highest mode). The wide reflector is always activated in the lowest mode.
The Fenix HM71R headlamp has a large battery capacity
The Fenix HM71R headlamp uses a rechargeable Li-ion battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh, which is recharged via the USB-C connector directly on the headlamp. To check the battery charge status, simply press the button briefly to activate the indicator LED (the headlamp must be switched off). When the battery is green, the battery is more than 80% charged; green flashes indicate 50-80% battery capacity. The red backlight indicates that the Fenix headlamp is between 20-50% charged. When flashing red, the capacity is less than 20%, indicating that it would be a good idea to charge the Fenix HM71R headlamp. The Fenix HM71R is also equipped with overheat protection. If the temperature of the headlamp exceeds 65 °C, the power will be reduced in gradual steps until the temperature stabilises. The highest power modes can then be used again.
