Garmin Varia Radar Bundle

Do you often cycle on main roads where there are alot of cars? Then you are ready for a Garmin Varia Bicycle Radar. According to the available statistics, most accidents involving a cyclist are caused by a car impact from behind. In the past, efforts have been made to equip bicycles with rearview mirrors or to detect the noise of the approaching vehicle, but such equipment has its limitations. Reverse cycling radar is able to detect the car well in advance and not only warn the cyclist himself in a timely manner, but by increasing the intensity of the rear, warning light at the same time warn the driver of the approaching car.

Key features

• The set includes both rear radar and radar display
• a clever solution to prevent a car crash
• warns both the cyclist and the driver of the vehicle
• suitable for combination with Garmin Edge
• watertight version of the IPX7 standard
• wireless communication with ANT + technology

A smart solution for your safety

The set includes rear bicycle light with radar and radar display. The rear radar light detects the approaching vehicle at a distance of up to 140 metres behind a cyclist, and the shorter the distance between the vehicle and the cyclist the more the intensity of the light increases. The radar display on the handlebars is capable of simultaneously displaying up to 8 upcoming cars and giving their distance. With decreasing distance, the increasing risk is shown by a change in the display colour. The cycling radar itself is also usable in combination with the Garmin Edge series.
