Garmin vivofit3 White (XL)

An elegant fitness tracker by Garmin with a stylish white design. The fitness tracker has exchangeable wrist straps. If one strap starts boring you, you can easily exchange it for another one, as the manufacturer offers many colourful and stylish versions for you to choose from. The tracker is also equipped with an improved lock that ensures it never snaps open when you don’t want it to. Its great features make it an excellent companion for both exercise and your daily life. The tracker battery will last you a long time. You can expect it to last about one year.

Functions

The fitness tracker keeps track of your activities thorough the day and tries to encourage its wearer to walk more and move more in general. It can alert you if you have spent a long time idle, without moving much. It can also tell you when you have reached your planned goal. The tracker intelligently detects your current sports activity, whether you are walking, running, swimming, or exercising on an elliptical cross trainer.

The tracker’s stopwatch has a separate recording and sports activity evaluation function. The functions can be used even without a heart rate sensor. During activity, they show you time, distance, number of steps taken, or the number of calories burned.

Technology

The most important part of the tracker is its tiny colour LCD display with a resolution of 64 × 64 pixels. Despite its size, it is easy to read and, thanks to its low power consumption, it can stay on permanently. The tracker communicates with its surrounding using ANT+ and Bluetooth, which allows it to connect with other smart devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and computers (mobile devices that are compatible with iOS, Android and Windows Phone). This broad connectivity also enables automatic synchronisation across all these devices.
