GIRO Fixture II MIPS W Mat Black/Stone

The GIRO Fixture II MIPS W women's cycling helmet is designed for off-road riding, from forest paths to narrow trails. The construction uses In-mould technology, which firmly bonds the shell to the inner EPS liner. Safety is enhanced by MIPS technology for protection against rotational forces on impact. Comfort is taken care of by 16 ventilation holes and the Roc Loc Sport fit system, which can be easily adjusted with one hand. The helmet comes in a universal size suitable for a head circumference of 50 to 57cm.

MIPS Technology for Greater Safety

The helmet is equipped with MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) technology, which increases head protection. This is a slip-plane layer located between the EPS shell and the inner padding. In the event of an angled impact, for example when catching on a branch, MIPS allows the helmet shell to rotate a few millimetres independently of the head. Although this movement is minimal, it significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that would otherwise act on the brain and potentially cause injury.

Clever Construction and Comfortable Wear

The helmet is based on an In-mould construction, which firmly bonds the outer polycarbonate shell with the inner layer of EPS foam in a single step. The helmet's shape, with its extended profile at the back, provides increased protection for the nape of the neck. The Roc Loc Sport fit system allows for easy one-handed tightening using a dial and is designed to be compatible with ponytails. The inner padding, made from Coolmax material, is quick-drying, antibacterial and can be removed and washed if necessary.

Ventilation and Practical Features

For riding in warm weather or on challenging terrain, the helmet is equipped with 16 ventilation holes that ensure efficient airflow and head cooling. It also includes a removable Snap-Fit 2 visor, which protects the eyes from the sun or flying debris. To increase safety in low visibility, the helmet features reflective elements for better visibility. These features mean the helmet is ready for the various conditions you might encounter on the trail.
