Instructions for setting the Heys suitcase TSA lock
The lock is set by the manufacturer to open with the combination 0-0-0. You can either keep this combination or set a new one by following these steps:
1. Push the button in the direction of the arrow and hold it until you have completed step 2. 2. Turn the dials to your desired personal combination. 3. Release the button and turn the dials so that the three numbers are not visible.
TSA lock
The primary purpose of a TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damage. It also helps speed up the inspection process. TSA security officers can open and inspect luggage with this type of lock without having to break it. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of universal key designed to open that lock. Keys for TSA locks are not available for sale to the public and are only accessible to TSA personnel. After inspecting your luggage, they are required to place an inspection notice in your suitcase and must re-lock it. This system is particularly recommended when travelling to the USA, as the TSA is primarily an American organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.Specifications
