TSA lock
TSA lock systems, marked with a red diamond symbol, are primarily designed to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without causing damage. This also speeds up the inspection process. TSA security officers can use this type of lock to open and check luggage without having to break the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key used to open this kind of lock. TSA lock keys are not publicly available and are only accessible to TSA personnel. After inspecting your luggage, these officers are required to place an inspection notice inside your suitcase and must lock it again.
