Instructions for setting the Heys suitcase TSA lock
The lock is factory-set to open with the combination 0-0-0. You can either keep this combination or set a new one by following these steps:
1. Push the button in the direction of the arrow and hold it down until you complete step 2. 2. Turn the dials to your desired personal combination. 3. Release the button and turn the dials so the three numbers are not visible.
TSA lock
The primary purpose of a TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without causing damage. It can also speed up the inspection process. TSA security officers can open and check luggage with this type of lock without having to break it. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key used to open that specific lock. TSA lock keys are not publicly available and are only accessible to TSA personnel. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place an inspection notice inside your suitcase and must lock it again. It is especially recommended for travel to the USA, as the TSA is primarily an American organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.Specifications
