TSA lock
The primary purpose of the TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damaging it. It can also speed up the inspection process. TSA security officers can open and inspect luggage with this type of lock without having to break it. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key designed to open that type of lock. TSA lock keys are not available for public sale and are only available to TSA officers. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place an inspection notice in your suitcase and the suitcase must be re-locked.
