TSA lock
The primary purpose of TSA locks, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to enable easy opening of luggage for inspection without causing damage. This also speeds up the inspection process. TSA security officers can use this type of lock to open and check luggage without having to destroy the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of universal key used to open this lock. Keys for TSA locks are not sold commercially and are only available to TSA officers. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place a notification of inspection inside your suitcase and must re-lock it. It is particularly recommended for travel to the USA, as the TSA is primarily an American organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.
