Instructions for Setting the IMPACKT Suitcase TSA Lock
You can change the number combination as follows:
1. Set the lock to the opening combination (the factory default code is 0-0-0).
2. Press the reset button with a pen or other pointed object until you hear a click.
3. Set your new number on the dial and remember it well.
4. Push the button in the direction of the arrow.
The reset button will return to its original position and you will hear a click. At this point, your new numeric code has been set. If you want to change your numeric code, simply repeat steps 1 to 4.
Opening the lock:
To release the zip pullers to open the suitcase, enter the correct code and push the button in the direction of the arrow (the factory code is preset to 0-0-0 if you have not yet set your own code).
TSA Lock
The primary purpose of the TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without being damaged. This can also speed up the inspection process. TSA security officers can use this type of lock to open and inspect the luggage without having to destroy the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of universal key used to open this type of lock. Keys to TSA locks are not available for public sale and are only available to TSA officers. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place an inspection notice in your suitcase and the suitcase must be locked again. It is particularly recommended when travelling to the USA, as the TSA is primarily an American organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.Specifications
