ClimbPro Function and Climb Analysis
The Magene C706 can be used immediately or with a pre-planned route. After importing a route, the ClimbPro function automatically identifies all climbs and provides detailed information to help you pace yourself effectively. During a climb, it displays the elapsed time, remaining distance, elevation gain, route profile, and two customisable data fields. If you activate the function mid-climb, the system will instantly recalculate the remaining section. It filters climbs by category (HC, Cat 1–4) – helping you tailor climbs to your abilities and goals. During a ride, you can activate 'Nearby Climbs' to get an overview of hills in your vicinity. There is also a Freeride ClimbPro function for accurately finding hills even on unfamiliar roads.²
Magene C706 Speedometer Training Functions and OnelapFit App Connection
The intelligent bike computer offers effective tools for training even when you can't ride outdoors. Simply upload the FIT file from the OnelapFit app, connect to a smart trainer, and enjoy the route. Effective tools include:
- Power training – set a target power, resistance, or gradient
- Dual data source support – switch between a trainer and a power meter
- Structured workouts – create your own workouts or import them from TrainingPeaks
- Optimise every movement⁴ – three advanced metrics to improve your ride physically (better posture, increased pedalling efficiency, and reduced risk of injury)
Advanced Performance Metrics and Pedalling Analysis
When combined with a compatible power meter¹, the bike computer allows you to use advanced metrics to improve performance and pedalling efficiency. Power Phase tracks torque and engagement angles, providing recommendations to reduce energy loss. The device distinguishes between seated and standing riding. The pedal offset function displays the deviation between the actual and ideal centre of your pedal stroke, helping to optimise cleat setup and foot position.
Magene C706 Bike Computer – Segments and Data Sync
The Magene C706 bike computer can display segments in a list and directly on the map, making it easier to orient yourself and quickly start a challenge. When connected to Wi-Fi, saved data is automatically synced with the Strava app.³ To access current segments, you need to connect to the OnelapFit app. Data fields can be fully customised according to individual preferences.
Smart Functions and Accessory Connectivity
The cycle computer acts as a central unit for other devices. It allows you to control action cameras, switch shooting modes and start recording. It also supports integration with Shimano Di2 systems, smart lights and radar. While riding, you can receive notifications from your phone and monitor important data about connected devices. Exported videos can include riding data such as speed, distance, gradient or altitude.
