The MSR Guardian Purifier water filter is a highly durable and powerful device designed for harsh conditions, mountain passes and long treks. Originally developed for military use, it can filter even heavily polluted or muddy water without any problems. It is resistant to frost and impact, including drops of up to 1.8 metres, making it ideal for extreme terrain. The filter uses hollow fibre technology in combination with backwash, making it self-cleaning and non-clogging. Inside is a ceramic filter unit with a carbon core that traps not only mechanical impurities, but also bacteria and viruses. With a flow rate of 2.5 litres per minute and a service life of over 10,000 litres, the Guardian Purifier is extremely efficient and long-lasting.
