The Naturehike Mongar 2 15D is an ultralight, double-skin tent for two people, designed for trekking and lightweight expeditions. The 2025 UL version combines the proven design of the Mongar model with lightweight materials. Two separate entrances allow independent access to the sleeping area, and the two porches provide space for storing your gear. Two vents promote cross-ventilation.

Lightweight materials of the Naturehike Mongar 2 15D tent
The flysheet of the Naturehike Mongar 2 15D tent is made from 15D nylon with a silicone coating on the outside and a waterproof PU coating on the reverse side. The raised hems at the head and foot ends use 20D nylon with a double grid and silicone coating, while the remaining parts of the inner tent consist of 15D nylon and insect mesh. The 210T polyester groundsheet with a triple grid increases resistance to moisture and abrasion. The structure is supported by YUKSON aluminium alloy poles with a diameter of 8.5mm.
Practical features and versatile setup
Expanded storage areas on both sides of the Mongar 2 15D tent keep small gear accessible inside. The outer corners are designed for a tighter groundsheet pitch, and the internal wind guy line can be used to reinforce the structure or as a drying line. An additional groundsheet protects the integrated base from dirt and wear. By combining the additional groundsheet, poles, and flysheet, you can set up a standalone shelter without the inner tent.

Water column
This indicates the resistance of the fabric and seams to water penetration. It specifies the amount of water the material can hold before it starts to leak. The higher the value in mm, the more resistant the tent is. Every tent should have a flysheet with a water column of at least 2000mm, which is roughly the pressure exerted by a raindrop travelling at 80–90 km/h. To survive a storm unscathed, a water column of at least 3000mm is a safer bet. For the groundsheet, a water column of 5000mm is recommended for general hiking. For more demanding conditions, choose a groundsheet with a water column of 8000–10000mm.Specifications
