Nutritious and tasty porridge Nominal
Whole grain rice was used to make Nomina porridge, which retains valuable nutrients such as minerals, vitamins and fibre. Properties that white rice lacks. You will not find milk, added sugar or any artificial flavours in the porridge. Just pure cereal. Porridge is nutritious, nutritionally rich, filling and easily digestible. You can prepare it at home, when visiting friends, or even on the go. As it is a flavourless porridge, you can enjoy it for breakfast or snack with your favourite yoghurt, nut butter and fruit or you can choose to prepare it in a savoury way.

What makes Nominal Nomina buckwheat porridge stand out?
- Universal use: Kashi can also be used to thicken soups or sauces, as a binder for minced meat or vegetable mixtures (meatballs) or to thicken confectionery fillings (e.g. apple, cottage cheese).
- Old crop sorghum:Sorghum is the name of the plant after which the porridge is named. It is a very old crop and is native to northeast Africa. It was already known to the ancient Egyptians. It has gradually spread to warmer and drier regions of all continents. Today, the largest quantities are said to be grown in the USA. Depending on the species, sorghum is used for various technical purposes, sugar production or animal feed. Grain sorghum is grown as a cereal for human consumption. It is one of the five most cultivated food crops in the world.
- Rice and sorghum combination: Sorghum together with natural rice, which after threshing gets rid of only the hard husk and in comparison with husked rice retains much more vitamins, valuable minerals and of course fiber, makes a good tandem for preparing a healthy breakfast or snack.

Preparation
You can prepare the Nomina porridge according to your own ideas. It is not flavoured, you choose what other ingredients or sweeteners you want or can use. So it's up to you what you flavour it with or how thick it will be. It is suitable for both sweet and savoury preparation. Use approximately three to four times the amount of hot liquid and "fine-tune" the density to your liking. Expect the porridge to swell and thicken within 3-5 minutes.
A few tips for preparation
- You can stir the porridge in hot milk, your favourite vegetable milk (coconut, almond, rice, etc. ) or e.g. in yogurt and water.
- Sweeten it? Flavouring can be e.g. honey or some sweet vegetable syrup (cereal, maple, chicory,. ). But the milk already has a sweet taste.
- All kinds of fruit are friends with porridge, preferably fresh, dried fruit tastes good too.
- A little spice may come in handy. Cinnamon or star anise are a must, but you can also try a pinch of cloves and others.
- Yogurt or cottage cheese will provide protein.
- Don't forget the seeds and nuts.
- Quality chocolate or homemade jam can be added for the sweet tooth.
- Or the other way around. The thick porridge can also be prepared as a savoury dish. This includes herbs, garlic, mushrooms, parmesan cheese, onions and avocados.
