The Osprey Kyte 48 is a women's hiking backpack ideal for outdoor professionals and travelers who love exploring new places with a pack on their back. With a capacity of 48 litres, it's spacious enough for day hikes and weekend treks. The main compartment can be accessed not only from the top, but also through the side zipper, which makes it easier to organize your belongings and equipment. The backpack offers plenty of storage space inside and out, including a canopy with internal and external pockets, stretch front pocket, mesh side pockets and hip belt pockets. There are straps for attaching trekking poles, ice axes and loops for attaching materials and equipment.

Features and materials of the Kyte 48 backpack

The backpack is made of strong materials, specifically nylon, which is treated with a water-repellent DWR treatment without the use of PFAS. The integrated rain cover is stored in a zipped pocket at the bottom of the backpack. The AirScape back panel offers improved torso length adjustment and a new injection-moulded frame that provides stability, breathability and a great fit for a comfortable fit even on demanding trails. The backpack also has a canopy with a large zippered pocket and a mesh zippered pocket with a key clip. Inner hydration pocket with Hydraclip clip makes it easy to hang the hydration pack.

Comfort and stability

The Atilon frame evenly distributes the load across the entire back panel to the perimeter frame. LightWire's circumferential frame effectively transfers the load from the straps to the waist belt, providing a more even weight distribution. Mesh-covered foam protrusions provide maximum ventilation while conforming to the body. Soft padded mesh provides a soft and breathable contact area with great support under load. The pack also includes two side compression straps at the top and bottom, a sleeping bag compartment with a movable divider, removable straps for a sleeping pad, two ice axe loops and a Stow-on-the-Go system for attaching trekking poles.
