Anatomically Shaped Hood of the Patizon Sleeping Bag
A well-cut and shaped hood is the key to thermal comfort. The anatomically shaped hood of the Patizon D 590 allows you to move your head both when lying down and sitting up. The one-handed self-locking drawstring for the inner collar and face opening is located at the 11 o'clock position for the most comfortable access from inside the sleeping bag. The hood collar is filled with top-of-the-line CLO Vivo Endurance synthetic insulation, which reduces heat loss, better resists exhaled moisture and prevents pressure marks from the drawstring. The sophisticated, one-handed adjustable inner collar in the shoulder and neck area prevents heat loss and, thanks to its special design, does not require additional Velcro, press-stud or magnet fastening.
Features for Thermal Comfort
The D-series sleeping bags are filled with the highest quality hypoallergenic RDS-certified duck down with a fill power of at least 700+ cuin. The insulation fill is distributed in the sleeping bag in a 50:50 ratio (top:bottom) and the “Z” chamber design ensures a sufficient thickness of insulation in every position. The outer surface is made of durable Toray Airtastic material (38g/m2) with a water-repellent DWR treatment. The entire main zip is backed by a down-filled insulating baffle to prevent precious heat from escaping. Thanks to the straight zip design, the entire insulation is even more effective.
The Zip—A Small Detail with Great Potential
Patizon sleeping bags use straight semi-automatic SHZ zips with two sliders. The zip has a thickness of 3mm instead of the classic 6mm to reduce heat loss and lower the overall weight. The semi-automatic slider with two positions—STOP and GO—makes handling the zip much easier. In the STOP position (pull-tab down), the zip is locked in position and does not unzip without having to be secured with a press-stud or Velcro. In the GO position (slider up), the zip can be opened by simply pulling the sides apart. The zip is also equipped with a comfortable pull-tab for reliable and easy fastening.
Smart Details and Something Extra
An internal zipped pocket measuring 20×12cm is a matter of course. Loops for hanging the sleeping bag for drying or storage are also part of the standard equipment. In addition, you will receive a spacious storage bag so that the sleeping bag is stored as it should be and retains its longest possible lifespan. A lightweight yet durable 10L compression sack can pack the already small sleeping bag down to an absolute minimum of 21×24cm.
