How to set your Rock suitcase TSA lock

The default factory combination is 0-0-0. Follow these steps to set your own combination for the first time:
Checking the lock before setting
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.
2. Insert the zip pullers into the lock openings. They should click into place.
3. Slide the release button to the side to release the zip pullers.
4. Insert the zip pullers back into the openings and turn one of the dials to lock the suitcase, for example, by setting the combination to 1-0-0.
5. Try sliding the release button – it should now be blocked.
6. Set the combination back to 0-0-0 and slide the release button to release the zip pullers.
Setting your own combination
It is recommended to leave the suitcase unlocked, with the zip pullers out of the lock openings, when setting the combination.
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.2. Using a pointed object, such as a pen, press the reset button until it clicks into the reset position.3. Turn the dials to set your desired combination, for example, 8-8-8.4. Slide the release button to the side until you hear a click and the reset button returns to its original position.5. Your combination is now set. Insert the zip pullers into the lock openings and slide the release button to check that they release correctly.
Memorise or write down your combination and keep these instructions in a safe place for future use.

TSA lock

The primary purpose of TSA lock systems, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damaging it. It can also speed up the inspection process. Security officers can use this type of lock to open and inspect your luggage without having to destroy the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of universal key designed to open that lock. Keys for TSA locks are not sold commercially and are only available to TSA personnel. After inspecting your luggage, these officers are required to place a notice of inspection in your suitcase and relock it. It is particularly recommended for travel to the USA, as the TSA is primarily a US organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.
