How to set the Rock suitcase TSA lock
The default factory combination is 0-0-0. Follow these steps when setting your own numerical combination for the first time:
Checking the lock before setting
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.
2. Insert the zip pullers into the lock openings. They should click into place.
3. Slide the release button to the side to release the zip pullers.
4. Insert the zip pullers back into the openings and turn one dial to lock the suitcase, for example, by setting the combination to 1-0-0.
5. Try sliding the release button – it should now be locked.
6. Set the combination back to 0-0-0 and slide the release button to release the zip pullers.
Setting your own numerical combination
It is recommended to leave the suitcase unlocked when setting the combination, with the zip pullers out of the lock openings.
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.2. Use a pointed object, such as a pen, to press the reset button until it clicks into the reset position.3. Turn the dials to set your desired combination, for example, 8-8-8.4. Slide the release button to the side until you hear a click and the reset button returns to its original position.5. Your combination is now set. Insert the zip pullers into the lock openings and slide the release button to check that the pullers release correctly.
Memorise or note down your combination and keep these instructions in a safe place for future use.
TSA lock
The primary purpose of the TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to enable luggage to be easily opened for inspection without causing damage. It also helps to speed up the inspection process. TSA security officers can open and inspect luggage with this type of lock without having to destroy it. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key designed to open that specific lock. TSA lock keys are not available for public sale and are only accessible to TSA officers. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place a notice of inspection inside your suitcase and must lock it again. The system is particularly recommended for travel to the USA, as the TSA is primarily an American organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.Specifications
