How to set the Rock suitcase's TSA lock
The factory default combination is 0-0-0. Follow these steps to set your own combination for the first time:
Checking the lock before setting it
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.
2. Insert the zip pullers into the lock slots. They should click into place.
3. Slide the release button to the side to release the zip pullers.
4. Insert the zip pullers back into the slots and turn one dial to lock the suitcase, for example, by setting the combination to 1-0-0.
5. Try to slide the release button – it should now be locked.
6. Set the combination back to 0-0-0 and slide the release button to release the zip pullers.
Setting your own combination
It is recommended to leave the suitcase unlocked when setting the combination, i.e., with the zip pullers out of the lock slots.
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.2. Use a pointed object, such as a pen, to press the reset button until it clicks into the reset position.3. Turn the dials to set your desired combination, for example, 8-8-8.4. Slide the release button to the side until you hear a click and the reset button returns to its original position.5. Your combination is now set. Insert the zip pullers into the lock slots and slide the release button to check that the pullers release correctly.
Memorise your combination or write it down and keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.
TSA lock
TSA lock systems, marked with a red diamond symbol, are primarily used to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without being damaged. This also means the inspection can be carried out more quickly. TSA security officers can open and inspect luggage with this type of lock without having to destroy it. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key designed to open that type of lock. Keys for TSA locks are not available for public sale and are only available to TSA personnel. After inspecting your luggage, these officers are required to place an inspection notice inside your suitcase and the suitcase must be re-locked. It is particularly recommended for travel to the USA, as the TSA is primarily an American organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.Specifications
