Instructions for setting the ROCK Oslo suitcase TSA lock
The default factory combination is 0-0-0.
Follow these steps when setting your own combination for the first time.
Checking the lock before setting:
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.
2. Insert the zip pullers into the lock slots. They should click into place.
3. Slide the release button to the side to release the zip pullers.
4. Insert the pullers back into the slots and turn one of the dials to lock the suitcase (for example, to 1-0-0).
5. Try sliding the release button – it should now be blocked.
6. Set the combination back to 0-0-0 and slide the button to release the zip pullers.
Setting your own numerical combination.
It is recommended to leave the suitcase unlocked (zip pullers outside the lock slots) when setting the combination.
1. Set the dials to 0-0-0.
2. Using a pointed object, such as a pen, press the reset button until it clicks and stays in the pressed position.
3. Turn the dials to set your desired combination (for example, 8-8-8).
4. Slide the release button to the side until you hear a click and the reset button returns to its original position.
5. The combination is now set. Insert the zip pullers into the slots and slide the release button to verify that the pullers are released correctly.
Remember or write down your combination and keep these instructions in a safe place for future use.
TSA lock
The primary purpose of the TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damage. This can also speed up the inspection process. Security officers can use this type of lock to open and inspect luggage without having to break the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key designed to open that type of lock. Keys for TSA locks are not sold publicly and are only available to TSA officers. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place an inspection notice in your suitcase and the suitcase must be re-locked. It is particularly recommended for travel to the USA, as the TSA is primarily an American organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.Specifications
