Instructions for setting the ROCK Oslo suitcase TSA lock
The factory default combination is 0-0-0.
Follow these steps to set your own combination for the first time.
Checking the lock before setting:
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.
2. Insert the zip pullers into the lock slots. They should click into place.
3. Slide the release button to the side to release the zip pullers.
4. Re-insert the pullers into the slots and turn one of the dials to lock the suitcase (for example, to 1-0-0).
5. Try to slide the release button – it should now be locked.
6. Set the combination back to 0-0-0 and slide the button to release the zip pullers.
Setting your own numerical combination.
It is recommended to leave the suitcase unlocked (zip pullers out of the lock slots) when setting the combination.
1. Set the dials to 0-0-0.
2. Use a pointed object, such as a pen, to press the reset button until it clicks and stays in the pressed position.
3. Turn the dials to set your desired combination (for example, 8-8-8).
4. Slide the release button to the side until you hear a click and the reset button returns to its original position.
5. Your combination is now set. Insert the zip pullers into the slots and slide the release button to verify that the pullers release correctly.
Remember or write down your combination and keep these instructions in a safe place for future use.
TSA lock
The main purpose of a TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow your luggage to be easily opened for inspection without causing any damage. This also helps speed up the screening process. TSA security officers can use this type of lock to open and inspect your luggage without having to break the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key designed to open that specific lock. Keys for TSA locks are not sold to the public and are available only to TSA personnel. After inspecting your luggage, these officers are required to place a notification of inspection inside your suitcase and must relock it. This type of lock is particularly recommended for travel to the USA, as the TSA is primarily an American organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.Specifications
