Instructions for setting the ROCK Oslo suitcase TSA lock
The factory default combination is 0-0-0.
Follow these steps to set your own combination for the first time.
Checking the lock before setting:
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.
2. Insert the zip pullers into the lock openings. They should click into place.
3. Slide the release button to the side to release the zip pullers.
4. Insert the pullers back into the openings and turn one dial to lock the suitcase (for example, to 1-0-0).
5. Try sliding the release button – it should now be locked.
6. Set the combination back to 0-0-0 and slide the button to release the zip pullers.
Setting your own numerical combination.
It is recommended to leave the suitcase unlocked (zip pullers out of the lock openings) when setting the combination.
1. Set the dials to 0-0-0.
2. Using a pointed object, such as a pen, press the reset button until it clicks and stays in the pressed position.
3. Turn the dials to set your desired combination (for example, 8-8-8).
4. Slide the release button to the side until you hear a click and the reset button returns to its original position.
5. The combination is now set. Insert the zip pullers into the openings and slide the release button to verify that the pullers release correctly.
Memorise or note down your combination and keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.
TSA lock
The primary purpose of the TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to enable luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damaging it. This also helps to speed up the inspection process. TSA security officers can use this type of lock to open and check luggage without having to destroy the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key intended for opening that specific lock. Keys for TSA locks are not available for public sale and are only accessible to TSA personnel. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place a notice of inspection inside your suitcase and must relock it. This system is particularly recommended for travel to the USA, as the TSA is primarily an American organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.Specifications
