How to Set the Roncato Suitcase TSA Lock
You can change the number combination using the following procedure:
1. Set the lock to the opening combination (the factory default is 0-0-0).2. Push the reset button with a pen or other pointed object until you hear a click.3. Set your new number on the dial and remember it well.4. Push the PUSH button in the direction of the arrow. The reset button will return to its original position and you will hear a click. Your new combination code is now set.5. If you turn the numbers on the lock to any other code, the lock will not open.
The lock will now only open with your set code. If you want to change your numeric code, simply repeat steps 1 to 4.
Opening the lock:
To release the zip pullers and open the suitcase, enter the correct code and push the PUSH button in the direction of the arrow (the factory default is 0-0-0 if you have not yet set your own code).
TSA lock
The primary purpose of the TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damage. It also helps to speed up the inspection process. TSA security officers can use this type of lock to open and inspect the luggage without having to destroy the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key used to open that type of lock. TSA master keys are not available for public sale and are only available to TSA officers. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place a notice of inspection inside your suitcase and the suitcase must be re-locked.
