Carbohydrates are the most important source of energy during long, moderate to high-intensity training. After a tough training session or competition, your muscles and liver are likely depleted of glycogen, and a key goal of recovery is to replenish these stores quickly. With this in mind, fructose is a source of carbohydrate that is preferred by the liver and used to replenish liver glycogen stores, while maltodextrin can be directly absorbed into the muscles to replenish muscle glycogen stores. To maximise glycogen replenishment, it's recommended to take 1g of carbohydrate per 1kg of body weight, which is why BETA Recovery contains 60g of carbohydrate per serving.

Preparation
Add 100g of powder (four full scoops) to 500ml of cold water and shake well. It is best consumed within 30 minutes of finishing your workout. Glycogen storage in the muscles and liver is accelerated when carbohydrates are consumed immediately after training.
