VAR 2 cooker performance
The VAR 2 has a power of 2800 W, thanks to which it brings a litre of water to the boil in five minutes. The actual operation of the cooker is ensured by the use of propane-butane cartridges, which are produced by a number of companies in a wide range of cubic capacities, from 100 ml to 750 ml, which allows to reduce the weight of the equipment to a minimum. In order to use the cooker successfully, it is necessary to use the VAR CGV 425 cartridge, or Meva 230g and Meva 450g. The cooker ensures reliable leak tightness in conjunction with VAR cartridges, if you decide to use cartridges of other brands, make especially sure that the cartridge-cooker system is perfectly sealed.
Gas consumption of the VAR 2 cooker
Gas consumption depends on the flow rate through the nozzle, and therefore its size,which is the only constant variable. Therefore, determining gas consumption is quite difficult. The variability of the flow through the nozzle depends on the gas pressure in the cartridge, which in turn depends on the gas temperature in the cartridge, which is determined by the ambient temperature. If, for example. the ambient temperature and therefore the temperature of the gas in the cartridge is 14°C, the pressure in the 30:70 P-B gas cartridge is 210 kPa and the gas consumption is 150 g/hr with the valve fully open. A VAR CGV 220 cartridge with a gas content of 220 g would have a full power life of 1.46 hours - 220/150=1.46.
