Talisker is the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, off the north-west coast of Scotland. Founded in 1830, the whisky from this distillery was made famous in the 19th century by the writer Robert Louis Stevenson, who called it the king of drinks in his work. It was even a staple for the British Army in India in the 19th century. The distillery now belongs to the British multinational beverage giant Diageo, and Talisker 10 Year Old is part of the Classic Malts of Scotland series. The Talisker brand has won many awards (to date, it has received 6 gold medals in various competitions). This 10-year-old whisky combines the perfect harmony of fruit, peat, pungency and smoke. Talisker does not produce whisky for casual sipping. When you drink it, you contemplate great things and roll it around in your mouth to release its full flavour. Talisker 10 Year Old is the perfect accompaniment to a cigar at the end of a meal.
