The Teltonika DAP145 with RS485 is a WiFi Access Point designed for industrial environments. This single-band access point operates on the Wi-Fi 4 standard, offering a transmission speed of up to 150Mbps in the 2.4GHz band. The device converts data from industrial serial devices directly to modern IP networks using the integrated RS485 bus. A metal aluminium chassis with IP30 protection and an integrated DIN rail mount makes it easy to install, even in challenging switchboard conditions. The system is managed by the RutOS operating system, which uses the Linux OpenWrt platform.

Wi-Fi connectivity and speed
The Teltonika DAP145 WiFi Access Point operates in the 2.4GHz wireless band, supporting 802.11b/g/n standards. The wireless transmission speed itself is 150Mbps. The aggregate wireless transmission speed reaches up to 600Mbps for efficient communication on the local network. A single external detachable antenna with 5dBi gain and an RP-SMA connector maintains stable signal propagation in the given area.
Mesh technology
This access point supports advanced networking technologies to create a comprehensive wireless infrastructure. The 802.11s and 802.11r protocols help with the fast handover of end devices between nodes without connection dropouts. The system can handle up to 50 concurrently connected users without losing stability. Network resource management is provided by support for the 802.11v and 802.11k standards.
Advanced network security
The security of transmitted data is a cornerstone of this device. WPA2 and WPA3 encryption protocols protect network traffic from unauthorised external access. An integrated firewall and DDoS protection actively defend the internal network from attacks and block unwanted port scanning attempts. Support for a wide range of VPN tunnels, including OpenVPN, IPsec and WireGuard, serves to create an encrypted connection to the company headquarters.
Connector equipment
The physical interface offers sufficient flexibility for industrial deployment. Two 10/100Mbps Ethernet LAN ports are available. The RS485 interface, in the form of a 6-pin terminal block, is used to connect serial devices directly to the IP network. Power is supplied via a 3-pin connector or passive PoE with an input voltage range of 9 to 30V DC.
